Stories stick with us long after we’ve forgotten all the facts and figures we’ve memorized. Stories have the power to change lives. They teach us. They connect us. They help us create new worlds. When characters come alive to us through stories, we learn empathy, we learn from another’s experience, we gain friends. Stories have the power to change us. They give us the power to imagine a new world.
Come celebrate stories, written and spoken at the Story Arts Festival – Homer on September 27th and 28th, 2019. With performances by story tellers, puppeteers, readings by writers of memoir, fiction, children’s and teen books, and picture books, workshops on writing and storytelling, and illustrators, we’ll embrace the power of stories to change our world.
